You are making a time capsel for your great, great, great grandchildren whom you will never meet. What would you put in it and why?

Hmmm, that’s a tough question, well I guess I’d put in some stuff that was valuable to me. Probably a journal, My first ever Night Crusade Comic, A CDR with a voice recording and video of me, hoping they would still be able to play such a thing. My star, and a single 40 caliber bullet from my Glock 22. Why? I don’t know. Seemed like a good thing to throw in at the time. Ofcourse chances are, I’d die before it could be given to them and then lost forever, or until someone decided to put up low rent housing.

I would have a mini scrapbook in there, telling them who I was .. my loves, my hobbies,and the major historical events that I have lived through (9/11, President Reagan’s & and the Pope’s death, etc.) (I am hoping that the larger scrapbooks that I have put some much work into would be passed down through the kids.)I would have a newspaper from that day. Maybe a sheet of paper with today’s prices for gas, milk, and other everyday items. Oh and a page containing all I know of the family tree.

I would totally fabricate some outrageous story with little clues as to who I REALLY was and hope they figure it out. Maybe I’d be a rock star or something, who knows, but it would be a great read either way.

I completely agree with Liz. I would want my great great grandchildren to know as much about me and our family as possible. I would also want them to know what the world was like at this time and what things cost so they can compare the differences to what common things cost in their day in time.
But then again, Ryan is probably right, they’ll be apartments or condos on top of my buried time capsule and no one will ever fine it. LOL

I’d put pictures of Don King, Michael Jackson, Annie Lennox, and Diane Keaton in there so they would think we were some super race of aliens. And some Quaker Chewy Granola bars, just cuz everyone should have some of those. They might not make it, though.

I’d put in pictures of our family, a family scrapbook with heritage, current events things like newspapers and videos and a note from me!
