Nine More Weeks! (Should I be scared or excited… how about both!) December 1, 2006

Hard to believe “Thumpers” due date is only 9 weeks away. It seems so close and yet far away now, and my head is panicing wondering what all is left to do and if I have enough time to get it done. Just where did that “to do list” go anyways? I guess finding that list is on my new “to do list” now… oh well.

The pregnancy is going well. I try not to complain too much as I seem to be having a better time at it then a good many of pregnant mom’s I have heard talking. There are a few times in the day when I am so focused on work that I even forget that I am pregnant surprisingly… but when I do well the baby (whom I lovingly refer to as “Thumper”. Yes that lovable little rabbit from “Bambi” that pounds away on the ground with its hind leg.) keeps reminding me that it is there by kicking my right ribs… always in the same place too! Really though I have little to complain about other then the sore right ribs, getting tired so early in the day, and the restless leg syndrome that robs me of a good bit of sleep at night.

I will admit though I picked up a book from Boarders that has made me laugh. A book that I pick up when I am secretly thinking to myself that I am ready for Thumper to come on out. What is the name of this book you ask? Well, it’s called: “Pregnancy Sucks (What to Do When Your Miracle Makes You Miserable)” I know, I know, what a great name for a book you say! Truly it is a good book that will make you smile and give you ideas on how to make it through and past those uncomfortable moments, feelings, and depression. For those that are pregnant or thinking about it you really should buy this book; you’ll be glad you did! I have to say that my favorite advise in there so far is on how to handle restless leg syndrome. “A heating pad kept on your legs will help, but a husband always close by to massage those legs is always better. Now if the husband isn’t proving helpful, kick him; he’ll never know it wasn’t the restlessness that caused that kick!” =D

Well I have posted photos in the gallery of us working on the baby’s room for those that are curious and want a peek in there. I’ll post more photos of the finished room once we are done refinishing the dresser and get it back in the room. Keeping my fingers crossed I do hope that project will be finished this Sunday. Ahhh Sundays, the day where Ben becomes my slave… errr I mean the day he puts on his “handy man hat”. It seems to be the only day where our schedules seem to work together where we both can work on the bigger projects together.

I suppose that is all I have to share for now… at least that is all my tired eyes are going to stay awake to let me type. Good night everyone and huggles to you all. =D
